King Tide Electric is a husband-and-wife electrical company built on experience, professionalism and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.
Owners Jon and Norma Palen are both Journeyman Red Seal Electricians, with more than 45 years of combined experience in the electrical industry. Today, they bring that experience to every project—whether they're helping plan a new build, solving an electrical problem, maintaining a commercial facility or upgrading an existing system.
For Jon and Norma, good electrical work is about more than getting the job done. It's about understanding the property, listening to the people who depend on it and finding solutions that are safe, practical and built to work for the long term.
A Lot of Experience Goes Into Every Project.
Jon and Norma's electrical careers have taken them well beyond the typical jobsite.
They began their journey as electricians and went on to own and operate Blue Electric for seven years, building a business and serving customers throughout the region. They then spent 10 years maintaining a large industrial printing facility, where they managed electrical maintenance and a team of approximately 45 people.
That experience gave them a unique perspective—not only on electrical installation and troubleshooting, but on what it takes to keep a complex facility operating safely and reliably. It taught them the importance of planning ahead, preventative maintenance, clear communication and finding practical solutions when problems arise.
Today, Jon and Norma have brought all of that experience together in King Tide Electric. As both owners and working electricians, they remain personally involved in the work while building their team with two apprentices.
Their goal is simple: to provide the kind of electrical service they would want for their own home, business or property.
